Welcome to the Utah ASHRAE Chapter Website!

ASHRAE is starting a new program to provide technical and financial support for sustainable projects in the cities where Society meetings take place, beginning with the 2008 Annual Meeting in Salt Lake, The goal of this program is to leave a legacy demonstrating ASHRAE’s commitment to sustainability and to offset the environmental impact from holding the Annual Meeting. The Utah ASHRAE host committee came up with the idea of installing solar panels to assist with the generation of domestic hot water for the Salt Lake YWCA Teen Mothers home. The solar system will reduce the facility’s annual operating costs and reduce the environmental impact of the current heating system. Many companies have teamed up to donate the design, materials and installation work for the solar-assisted domestic hot water system. Many other have contributed financially to this project. Please visit the Live Data website. It is a Java application and will take some time to load for the first time.
